NVDA application for testing website : Run only

NVDA is a great tool for testing accessibility. It is the top free screed reader that is used worldwide. But if you just need it for testing your website, you do not need to install it.

If you install NVDA it starts automatically when you start your PC and often it does not listen when you try to close it. Sometimes it clashes with other programms. Due to these difficulties, many co-workers have uninstalled it after tesing, which can be a pain if you test periodically.

Instead, we can run it as run only mode, which works perfectly fine. Below I have attached an screenshot.

So you need to follow this process .

1. Download nvda installer (ndva.versionnumber.exe)
2. Double click on it
3. Do not click on install
4. Click on Run anyways / Förtsätt att köra in the photo in Swedish
5. When you are done testing, open system tray(right-bottom screen corner, uparrow) right click on nvda and close. Thats it !!!
